Trump Campaign Staff: Muslims Shouldn't Be U.S. Citizens

Donald Trump's paid campaign staffers have written on their personal social media accounts that Muslims should not be U.S. citizens. They have also called for the execution of Secretary of State John Kerry and have shown interest in a possible civil war, a review of their postings found.
The Associated Press looked into more than 50 current and former staffers' social media accounts and found that at least seven of them condoned violence and used racially charged messages and anti-Muslim sentiments.
"Those who understand Islam are gearing up for a fight," a Virginia field organizer wrote, adding that Muslims are trying to force Americans to follow Sharia law.
On July 11, Teresa Unrue, a graphic designer for Trump's campaign, posted a video of a black man eating fried chicken and said that black people are ignorant, irresponsible and tend to have too many children.
"Why are you mad about slavery?" the man asks. "Y'all weren't no damn slaves."
Unrue wrote that the video had her "crack'n up" and asked her connections to "please share this with people."
Other staffers had posts saying that black-on-white crime is as big of a problem as white-on-black crime.
"How about this little white boy being murdered by a black man," Annie Marie Delgado, a Florida grassroots organizer, wrote in one such post.
She also shared a photo, now known to be a fake, of John Kerry with Jane Fonda.
"I say hang them!" Delgado wrote.
Virginia field director Mark Kevin Lloyd shared a post on June 30 that called Islam "a barbaric cult," and shared another meme on June 16 that said people should not be allowed to purchase firearms unless they eat bacon first.
"We need Islam control, not gun control," said a meme that Unrue shared.
The review comes at a time when Trump is looking to win over Hispanic voters, black voters, and other minorities ahead of the general election in November. Hillary Clinton currently has a double-digit lead over Trump when it comes to Hispanic voters and more than 90 percent support from black voters.
"Look at how much African-American communities are suffering from Democratic control," Trump said in a recent speech, according to Fox News. "What do you have to lose by trying something new like Trump? … You live in your poverty. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs -- 58 percent of your youth is unemployed."
